Our Story
A husband and wife sharing good coffee with the people around us.

Coffee Has Always Felt Like Home
Coffee has been part of our lives for as long as we can remember. It was there on early mornings, around the kitchen table and in the long talks that matter most.
Sheppard’s Coffee Co. started in 2024 as a simple way to share that with others. We’re a husband and wife from the Ozarks who love coffee, love our family and love meeting new people. Every bag we make is one we’d be proud to pour for our own family.
God · Family · Coffee
Those three words sit on our logo, in that order on purpose. They’re how we try to live, and how we try to run this little business.

Faith First
We’re thankful for every cup and every customer. We try to be honest, keep our word and treat people the way we’d want to be treated.

Family Always
This is a family business. The coffee we sell is the same coffee we brew at home, and we want you to feel like part of the family when you order from us.

Coffee Done Right
We care about doing it right: good beans, a careful roast and a fresh bag. Nothing burnt, nothing stale.
[YOUR STORY: a sentence or two about what these values mean to you personally.]
All About Our Roasting
People ask us about our roasting all the time, so here’s how it works. We start with green coffee, the raw seed of the coffee cherry, and roast it in a drum roaster in Harrison. As the beans tumble through the heat, they dry out, turn from green to tan to brown, and eventually “crack” as moisture and gases escape. Where we stop the roast decides the flavor: earlier for a lighter, brighter cup, later for a bolder, darker one.
Every batch gets watched from start to finish. When it hits the right point, we dump the beans into a cooling tray to stop the roast fast, let them rest, and bag them. If you want an Ozarks coffee roaster you can actually meet, come say hello at the market.
Printed on every bag
A few weeks of roasting
Airtight, cool, and dark
Fresh coffee is the whole point. Coffee tastes best within a few weeks of roasting, which is why we print the roast date instead of a far-off “best by.” Want to learn more about keeping it fresh? Read how long coffee stays fresh and how to store coffee beans.
How We Think About Coffee
We don’t think coffee needs to be complicated or fussy. A good cup comes down to a few things that matter most:
Fresh Beats Fancy
A fresh, well-roasted bag will beat a stale bag of anything, every time. That’s why the roast date matters so much to us.
Brew It Your Way
Drip pot, French press, pour-over, or espresso, there’s no wrong way. We’ll help you dial it in, and our brewing guides cover the basics.
Know Your Roaster
You should be able to shake hands with the people who roast your coffee and ask them questions. That’s what being local means.
